15 Awesome Activities at Land's End in Treasure Island, FL
There are many places to stay in the Treasure Island, St. Pete Beach area, but none as sought after as the Land's End community at the tip of Treasure Island. Land's End is surrounded by water on three sides and offers resort like amenities that appeal to couples and families alike. We've put together our top 15 things to do at Land's End.
1. Boat, Dolphin, and Manatee watching
The intercostal condo view is the most active in the complex. During the day you can sit on the deck enjoying coffee or a cocktail and watch for Dolphins, Manatee’s, and a flurry of boat activity heading in and out. Local boaters are the most active on the weekends, and Manatee’s are most active at sunrise and sunset. In addition to wildlife and boaters, you can sit on the deck and enjoy the live music from a few beach front restaurants across the water.
2. The Beach!
This is an obvious one, but who doesn’t visit a Land's End condo without trips to the Beach. Setup an umbrella, pack a cooler, and enjoy the day at your private beach for the week. Our condo provides four beach chairs, beach toys for kids, and an umbrella. The only beach-goers you'll find on this private beach will be those staying at the Land's End complex. If you crave more people activity, you can walk a few hundred yards to the right and find the Sunset Beach public beach that has picnic tables, and vending machines.
3. Bocce ball on the Beach or the big yard behind the pool
If you’re staying at our condo, we have a complimentary Bocce Ball set in the master bedroom closet. You can setup on the beach or in the large yard area behind the Land's End pool. We do both depending on our mood.
4. Walk the tip of the Island
Land's End has a boardwalk that wraps around the tip of Treasure Island. The beginning of the boardwalk is at the public entrance to the Sunset Beach dog beach. It wraps around the entire Land's End Complex and ends at the Sunset Beach public beach entrance.
5. Dog Watch
Are you a dog lover. You can watch dogs running and swimming on the dog beach side of the complex. There is always a laugh or two when seeing the local dog’s of Treasure Island enjoying the water.
Don’t forget your racket. Two courts are available to Land's End visitors.
7. The Pool!
When you need a break from the heat on the beach, rinse off and enjoy the beautiful Land's End pool area. The locker rooms have showers, the pool has been freshly resurfaced, and the hot tub is available until 10pm each night. This is resort living at its finest.
8. Picnic at the Gazebo
Next to the volleyball court you can grill out, or pack a picnic and enjoy lunch or dinner in the shaded Gazebo. If the Gazebo is taken, you can always setup at one of the umbrella tables at the pool.
9. Hot Tub
There are two hot tubs in the complex. One by the main pool, and one right next to building four. The building four hot tub is the most private.
10. Fishing on the Boardwalk
Pick you favorite spot on the boardwalk and cast your line. We aren’t big fishers, but we see a lot of Land's End visitors fishing on the boardwalk or setting up shop on the dog beach.
11. Ping Pong
There is a ping pong table underneath the clubhouse. See the security guard at the entrance for equipment!
Right next to the beach volleyball court, are two shuffleboard courts. See security guard for equipment.
13. Beach Volleyball
Get a game going in the Land's End beach volleyball court. The volleyball court is rarely used, so you won’t need to wait in line to use it. Same as above, check with the security guard to see if a ball is available.
14. Veg on the couch and watch a movie
Has the idea of all of this activity made you tired. Theres no shame in TV time after a day in the sun.
