Best Date Night Restaurants in St. Pete/Treasure Island, FL area
The St. Pete and Treasure Island area offer an abundance of restaurants. However, they wouldn't all be top contenders for a nice evening out. We've been on the hunt for our favorite spot since choosing the location for our wedding rehearsal dinner in 2013. See our short list of favorites for your night on the town!
The Risotto Oceana (Scallops & Shrimp over risotto) is a favorite entree of ours when visiting Snappers. No reservations accepted at this popular location so be prepared to wait if you plan to visit during the dinner rush period. This location is top of the list for a true date night as the dinner only location has a definite night out vibe.
Home to one of the most creative menus in the area. While open for three meals a day, you'll find the most creative entrees and small plate options in the evening. The Espresso Rubbed Beef, Brie with Brandied Mixed Nuts & Warm Apples, and Firecracker Shrimp are our go-to options. We first tried their Expresso Rubbed Beef when it was served at our rehearsal dinner in 2013. Our friends and family still talk about it.
You'll definitely want a reservation for this location if visiting after 5pm. This location has high quality food, a great indoor atmosphere, as well as outdoor seating on the inter-coastal. If you enjoy dinner earlier in the evening, the Salt Rock offers an early-bird menu with entrees priced at $16 and even include a salad and dessert! This location is a short 15-20 minute drive to Indian Shores but is a well known favorite for locals from all areas of Florida's West Coast.
4. Rum Fish
Great service, great atmosphere, and the coolest fish tank in town as featured on Animal Planet's popular TV series, TANKED. Of the recommendations on this list, Rum Fish is going to be on the pricier side due to the upscale atmosphere. Note that this restaurant also made our top Family Friendly Activities Blog due to our kids love for the massive fish tank!
Leverock's is a short 5 minute trip inland in St. Petersburg and has been a favorite in the area for 70 years! You'll find the best value for your money at this steak and seafood location. The regular dinner menu prices are quite reasonable plus they also offer an early bird every day of the week! Early Bird dinner is offered 11:30am-5:30pm with entree's starting at $9.99. It is more casual then most of the restaurants on this list, but the excellent food and high value makes this location a must-visit whenever we are in town.
Conch Republic is one of the livelier restaurants on our list with an active bar and jam packed dining room. The menu is extensive, the food is great, and the service never disappoints. Even with the hustle and bustle of this restaurant, we are always greeted with smiles from all the staff. This location also offers an early bird everyday from 2pm-5pm with entrees from $10.95! Additionally, you'll find a great happy hour daily from 11am-7pm.
As you can see by the our list so far...we enjoy seafood when we're at the beach. However, when we're in the mood for Italian food, Gigi's is one of the best. This intimate restaurant has been in the area since 1967 serving consistently great food ranging from seafood, to steaks and veal, to traditional pizza shop entrees. Gigi's is also a great choice for takeout with three locations in the area and is a traditional for our family each visit. Try the eggplant parmesan!
